Bear in mind if anything goes wrong with your hearing aids you will lose them for 10 to 14 days having them repaired. I took them back and waited 2 weeks for them to come back, I was told this was a new pair replacing my defective ones. Then they just started cutting out and then coming back on. When the volume would go up it would become too loud. After a few days the volume would go up and down constantly making it difficult to hear at times. The first pair I had were fine at first, I liked the way they blocked out background noise. If/when they become available again, I will be first in line to purchase….
I want to buy a second pair of KS10.0T but discovered that Costco is not selling them now due to product recall. This is easily worth entire purchase price of $1399. Sound quality is excellent when wearing over-the-ear headset. Zero feedback when used with active noise reduction. Technician created a special telecoil program for me that allows hearing aid use with aviation headset.
Very little road noise when driving in car. Wind noise and background noises are very subdued.

Costco’s policy of free cleaning and replacement of wax guards and ear domes is a tremendous cost savings. I have been wearing these new aids now for two months and have yet to change wax guard. With all previous hearing aids, I needed to change wax guards frequently. KS10.0T is manufactured by Sonova in Switzerland. Rechargeable batteries easily last an entire day. The sound is like being in a concert hall.

I have been wearing hearing aids for 30 years. So, be sure to evaluate the local options, and ensure you choose the best service provider available to you! The most important thing in succeeding with hearing aids is receiving the absolute best quality of care (research shows it means more than the hearing aids in terms of your ultimate benefit with the devices). However, some have reported long wait times, and variable quality audiological care. Many people in the Hearing Aid Forum are completely happy with their Costco hearing aids. Is it worth spending more at a local independent hearing care practice? Well, that all depends. Importantly, it seems like the new KS10 is functionally similar to the most premium Sonova models (which typically cost 3-5x as much as the KS10), because Sonova has included premium features like “Echo Manager” (presumably similar to Echo Block), and “Speech Boost”, which again is only available in the most premium Sonova models as “Speech Enhancer.” Additionally, the KS10 includes 20 fine tuning channels, just like other top end Sonova models.
